8 hours ago by Subhasish Das1 view

Easily available to buy..riding experience is the best in its class looks are pretty old but it won't embarrass you ever.. servicing is cheap and good... Best in mileage and power...I have owned it for 5 years engine optimization and refinement are still like stock condition... It will never disappoint you on top ends too...its a value for money. Enjoy riding.

I bought this bike in April -2018 pulsar 150 twin disc. I am riding this to date approx 40000km and I am riding this bike from patna to ranchi. Its looks more heavy like pulsar 180. Performance is good if your drive gently you get an average 52-55 kmpl on this. Very good service network. And a very low-maintenance bike. I am servicing my bike every 5 months or 5000 km. And it cost me approx 1000 rupees only. If you drive this bike on long rides you feel back pain after 70-80 km that is the only cons I have found in this bike else things are good.

So don't go for it. Bs 6 is very worst. I think old is gold.

Buying experience: bajaj showroom employees were very welcoming and helpful with the entire process knowing I needed the bike immediately on the same day I inquired.
Riding experience: sleek sporty action with a commuter bike baseline. Absorbs shocks from potholes or undulating surfaces easily if any on road. Amazing mileage. The engine does get heated up on riding the bike continuously for 25-30km. You can feel the heat glare on your feet.
Looks & performance: looks muscular and sporty. Will stand out from all the other motorcycles on this range. You would feel special.
When it comes to performance the power is pretty good with amazing mileage. The shockers do a pretty good job absorbing sudden bumps. I have the single disc variant. The front disc brake is pretty good. The rear brake is a drum brake with 'okish' stopping power. The abs are handy on wet surfaces.
Servicing: haven't done a servicing yet.
Pros: good power and balance, a complete package for city traffic, and short tours.
Cons: not advisable for long touring. Engines heat up pretty easily after 30km since it's in the 150cc segment.

The bike's engine is smooth, Riding either in traffic or on normal roads is fine. But the issues which I have faced are engine overheating, change of throttle body within 5000kms and the servicemen at the service station are dealing bikes with negligence. The servicemen said overheating is common, and change of throttle body is also common for most bs6 bikes but they never give me an approximate answer for maintaining throttle body and why I don't know the engine is overheating though the engine oil grade is 20-50W.
Maintenance is economical, gives a mileage around 45 plus and a Decent look

Build quality of this Pulsar 150 and Service quality from Bajaj is superb, please avoid buying at any cost rather buy TVS Apache 160. The whole headlight unit shakes on a perfectly good road. The sitting position is very uncomfortable and tyres lack grip. The only good this is mileage in BS6 model I get around 60-65KMPL in City and 70 plus on highways apart from that, I'll suggest refraining from buying this bike..

My suggestion is to never buy b6 bajaj pulsar 150 dtsi. When I visited 3rd time at the service center they told me that you would have to change your throttle body which costs around rs. 5000 despite the total running of my bike being less than 5000 kms. And this issue I am facing since the purchase of a bike
